THE FILM CORNER CLUBS, NEW EDITION OF THE FILM CORNER PROJECT IS STARTING
Fondazione Cineteca Italiana has taken part in Paris in the kick-off meeting of the new project “The Film Corner Clubs 2026–28: From Virtual to Real”, funded by the European Union within the Creative Europe Programme.
The meeting, which has taken place between January 15, and january 17, hosted by the French project partner Palatine, has taken place at the Maison d’Italie at the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris.
“The Film Corner Clubs 2026–28: From Virtual to Real” represents the next phase of the European digital film literacy project led by Fondazione Cineteca Italiana. Building on the existing The Film Corner online platform, the project expands its scope by introducing on-site activities aimed at strengthening students’ engagement with cinema. The initiative bridges digital learning and real-life experiences, using EU support to enhance both teacher training and student participation in film education.
The Film Corner is an interactive online platform and an innovative educational resource designed to teach the language of cinema and audiovisual media. It combines film education methodologies with cross-media tools to foster new forms of engagement among young audiences and stimulate their curiosity about cinema. Launched in 2016 with the support of the European Commission, the project is coordinated by Fondazione Cineteca Italiana.
